Exciting New Location

It's easier and faster for me to post my work on a blog so, from now on, I'll be posting my latest creations on my handy dandy new blog. Check it out.

Asian Flowers

I stamped the bamboo (Penny Black) and Asian text (Kodomo) in a faded green dye chalk ink (I also inked the edges of the card with the same ink). I colored the flower stamp (Penny Black) with olive, brown, and burgandy inks. Then I applied a burgandy glitter pen (Sakura) on the flowers and dabbed the ink with a brush lightly wetted with water, so the flowers actually subtly glitter (which doesn't show in these photos). Lastly I stamped the chop (Kodomo) in burgandy ink.

Pink Daisy
I started this card with a square patterned card base (A Muse). I stamped a large daisy (Hero Arts) in pink. I painted the inside of the flower petals with a mix of gold glitter and gold Twinkling H20s, which gave it the textured, glitter look. I cut out the daisy and layered it with a May Arts pink ribbon flower, by attaching them with a brad.

Orange Doodle Card

I cut strips of patterned paper (KI Memories) to create this layered flower that I topped with a premade paper flower (Prima) and a button. I doodled with a white dimensional gel ink pen (Sakura). The orange base card has a moire texture (Club Scrap).

Blue Doodle Card

This flower is also made with layered strips of patterned paper (KI Memories) and a premade paper flower (Prima). This one I topped with a circle diecut with a butterfly (K&Company). I made the doodles with a white gel pen that had a more translucent ink (American Craft). The blue base card has a moire texture (Club Scrap).

Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for my sister Stephanie. Unfortunately, in my haste to send her birthday package, I forgot to take a photo of the card. I asked her if she would take a photo for me. Since silliness runs in our family, she added this adorable bonus photo of herself with the card.

By the way, I used a card and tag die cut (Club Scrap), patterned paper (Memory Box), a large rhinestone (Hero Arts), stamps (A Muse), and a paper flower (Prima). I layered the flower on the tag with flowers I punched out of the patterned paper. I also stamped the tag with a flower in white ink (Stampin' Up). And I stamped "birthday wishes" and put glitter on the stamped letters.

"Celebrate" Birthday Card

This is a birthday card I made for a friend. The base is an orange card (A Muse), on which I stamped a butterfly (Hero Arts) also in orange. I added panels of blue and green textured cardstock (Club Scrap's Surf's Up kit). I stamped and embossed a Celebrate definition (Stampin Up) on taupe cardstock (Club Scrap). I then adhered a ribbon (Lil' Davis Designs) and three layers of flowers that I joined with a brad. I punched the green flower from textured cardstock (Club Scrap's Surf's Up kit), layered it with a die-cut orange flower (Club Scrap) and a blue flower (Prima).

Father's Day Card

This is a card I made for my dad for father's day with patterned paper (Club Scrap's Science Kit). He's a retired science teacher so this kit was a perfect choice for him.

Cool Cat Card

This is a card I made with the Cool Cat stamp set (Stampin Up). I especially love this set, because I have wonderful black kitty. I stamped the kitty in black and then covered her in clear glitter by using Heat & Stick Powder (Stampin Up) – it's a powder that you apply like embossing powder, but it turns to a glue when you heat it. Then you just sprinkle on "diamond" glitter (Stampin Up).

Wedding Card

This is a card I made for some friends who got married. The stamps are from Hero Arts. The flower is from Prima. I have no idea where I got the fuzzy fiber.
