I have experience in the following areas:

• Websites and Blogs
  • Designed, developed, maintained, wrote copy and copy edited websites at NASA Ames Research Center in the Silicon Valley, for small businesses and for my popular beauty blog.
  • At NASA Ames, designed and created the NASA Research Park site, redesigned the site for SOFIA (Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy) and designed and created an internal site for the Astrobiology program.
  • Managed online marketing projects at walmart.com, such as webpages and emails.
  • Redesigned the new website for Uptown Drug & Gift Shop in Los Angeles.
  • Will be designing and building a website/blog for Health Coach Christine Gonzalez.
• Print
  • Designed, wrote copy for and copy edited newsletters, reports and brochures as a Public Affairs and Development Specialist at NASA Ames.
  • Work was focused on helping with the development of NASA Research Park, which is now a successful research and education community with many partners, such as Google, which is planning to build a campus there. The University of California system, led by the Santa Cruz campus (UCSC), has also partnered with NASA and has its “Silicon Valley Center” at NRP.
  • Designed a brochure and other print marketing materials for Health Coach Christine Gonzalez.
• TV and Video
  • Have a strong understanding of the media and what gets their attention.
  • Reported on-air, produced, wrote scripts, researched, and pitched ideas for health and medical, technology, general science, and general assignment news reports as a TV News Reporter in San Francisco, Seattle, and St. Louis, and as a TV News Producer for NBC Nightly News and the Today Show.
  • Produced promotional videos about luxury homes, special events, and communities in the Bay Area communities and the West Virginia High Tech Consortium Foundation, a group that brings high tech ventures to West Virginia.
• Public Presentations
  • Wrote scripts, developed content and presented the latest information about the Mars mission at the NASA Ames Exploration Center in the largest immersive theater on the West Coast.
  • Designed and copy edited a variety of PowerPoint presentations about NASA Research Park at NASA Ames.
